Hockey Drills

Hockey Drill #1

Items Needed: Stickhandling Ball & a puck

Drill 1: Back Hand Taps- While Stickhandling release the ball in the opposite direction of the puck. While the ball is heading in the opposite direction as the puck, you will "tap" the puck with the blade of your stick then regain possession of the puck. 

Drill 2: Forehand Hand Taps- While Stickhandling release the ball in the opposite direction of the puck. While the ball is heading in the opposite direction as the puck, you will "tap" the puck with the blade of your stick then regain possession of the puck. 


Hockey Drill #2

Items Needed: Stickhandling ball and 5 sticks

Drill: Tri-pod Stickhandling

1 minute work/30 seconds rest 5 times is one set

5 Sets

Homeschool Challenge 3

For this #HFHomeschool Challenge, skaters will place ten pucks in a row. They will weave the ball through each of the pucks. For the skater who is able weave the ball through the pucks the most will be the winner.

Rules:

  • All ten pucks must be in camera view
  • Camera angle must be from the side so we can see ball go through the pucks
  • Only 1 minute long
