The Hockey Factory Development Program will be offering virtual workouts in participation with Rule 1 Sports.

Hockey Drills

Hockey Drill #1

Items Needed: Tennis Ball

Drill 1: Left arm elbow crease- Toss the ball towards your inside elbow crease and hit back to same hand and catch

Drill 2: Right arm elbow crease- Toss the ball towards your inside elbow crease and hit back to same hand and catch

Drill 3: Left arm forearm hit- Toss the ball towards forearm and hit back to same hand and catch

Drill 4: Right arm forearm hit- Toss the ball towards forearm and hit back to same hand and catch

10 reps each is a set.

3 Sets each drill


Hockey Drill #2

Items Needed: Stickhandling ball or puck and another puck.

Drill 1: Top Hand Burnout Under to the Right: 3 stickhandles and then under the opposite puck.

Drill 2: Top Hand Burnout Under to the Left: 3 Stickhandles and then under the opposite puck

Drill 3: Top Hand Burnout Over to the left: 3 Stickhandles and then over the opposite puck

Drill 4: Top Hand Burnout Over to the right: 3 Stickhandles and then over the opposite puck

1 Minutes Work/10 Seconds Rest- 5 times is 1 set

2 Sets for each drill


Hockey Drill #3

Items Needed: Vision Trainer & Golf Ball

Drill 1: Forehand- Stand on opposite side of vision trainer so you can't see the wall or when the ball hits the wall. Pass the ball off of the wall and back to yourself. 

Drill 2: Backhand- Stand on opposite side of vision trainer so you can't see the wall or when the ball hits the wall. Pass the ball off of the wall and back to yourself. 

20 Reps is 1 set

10 Sets

 


HF Homeschool Challenge #3

For this #HFHomeschool Challenge, skaters will place ten pucks in a row. They will weave the ball through each of the pucks. For the skater who is able weave the ball through the pucks the most will be the winner.

Rules:

  • All ten pucks must be in camera view
  • Camera angle must be from the side so we can see ball go through the pucks
  • Only 1 minute long
