The Hockey Factory Development Program will be offering virtual workouts in participation with Rule 1 Sports.

Hockey Drills

Hockey Drill #1

Thanks to Silver Hockey School for the drill. Each day we will bring you a new Silver Hockey School drill! Check out their Instagram page.

Items Needed: "L" shape on the floor and stickhandling ball

Drill 1: Feet to the side, Toe Drag- Players will stand to the side of the "L" and toe drag back. 

Drill 2: Strong side foot high, Toe Drag- Player will stand with strong side foot high and toe drag back

Drill 3: Feet to side, strong side foot high, backhand back- Player will stand with strong side foot high and toe drag back

Drill 4: Strong Side hand, toe drag back- Player will toe drag back on their strong side

Drill 5: Strong Side hand, backhand drag back- Player will backhand drag back

1 Minute Work/30 Seconds Rest- 5 times is 1 set

2 Sets Per Drill


Hockey Drill #2

Items Needed:  2 Stickhandling Balls

Drill 1: Close Puck Pulls Forehand Toe drags: Pull the puck/stickhandling ball as close as you can to the puck/object on your forehand.

Drill 2: : Close Puck Pull Backhand Toe drags: Pull the puck/stickhandling ball as close as you can to the puck/object on your forehand.

1 Minutes Work/30 Seconds Rest- 5 Reps is 1 Set

3 Sets for each drill


Hockey Drill #3

Items Needed: Stickhandling Aid and ball/puck

Drill 1: Forehand pull and drags- Toe drag down then around the aid and pull back through. 

Drill 2: Backhand pull and drags- Backhand toe drag down then around the aid and pull back through.

1 Minute Work/30 Seconds Rest: 5 Reps is a set

3 Sets per drill

 


HF Homeschool Challenge #3

For this #HFHomeschool Challenge, skaters will place ten pucks in a row. They will weave the ball through each of the pucks. For the skater who is able weave the ball through the pucks the most will be the winner.

Rules:

  • All ten pucks must be in camera view
  • Camera angle must be from the side so we can see ball go through the pucks
  • Only 1 minute long
