Focus Points X1 Forward

• Entering zone with speed and changing direction with escape. 
• Shoulder checking as in the escape to locate defenders and their positions. 
• Choice to take the high seem or a cut back and low seem.
• Deception with inside shoulder, head, hips, or feet. 

Creativity IQ Focus for X1

• We will be going from a low contested area on the escape into a high contested area when we engage defenders. 
  • We need skaters to understanding space to engage defenders 
    • We don't want X1 to engage both defenders at once. 
    • Find space wherein you it's a 1 on 1

Focus For D1 & D2

• Push X1 outside the dots.
• Limit X1 space by stick and body position. 
• Try to create the odd man 1 on 2 advantage is a tight space.
